Remembering 15 Years On...

Updated: Jan 31, 2019

It was one of the most defining events in recent history, a moment where everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when they found out about 9/11 15 years ago.

This time 15 years ago millions of Americans were waking up completely unaware that in a little under an hour one event would change the city forever. In the following weeks hundreds of stories would come out describing the incredible bravery and strength people showed on that day.

Terror will never beat or stifle the love, resilience and spirit we all show to overcome extreme odds.

15 years on and people are still suffering at the hands of those terrorists . By the 20th anniversary more people will have died from WTC related illnesses than killed from the immediate impact of the attacks. At least 1,000 people have since died and a further 37,000 people have been certified by the WTCHP as suffering from severe illnesses related to the exposure of toxic dust and ash from the wreckage of 9/11.

"Nulla dies umquam memori vos eximet aevo"

- "No day shall erase you from the memory of time."
